More About Gerard O’Reilly

Gerard O’Reilly is the Co-Chief Executive Officer and Co-Chief Investment Officer of Dimensional Fund Advisors, where he helps guide the firm’s global vision, strategy, and investment philosophy. Since joining Dimensional in 2004, he has played a key role in advancing the firm’s systematic, research-driven approach to investing. Previously serving as Head of Research, he was instrumental in applying academic insights to real-world portfolios and continues to serve on both the Investment Research Committee and Investment Committee.

Gerard holds a PhD in aeronautics from California Institute of Technology and earned his undergraduate and master’s degrees in physics and high-performance computing from Trinity College Dublin. He also serves on the boards of Dimensional’s US mutual funds and ETFs.
