My path into wealth management has been a natural progression since leaving academia. I started out at Interactive Brokers, later moved to Morgan Stanley, and then Citibank – all along, I gained strong exposure to capital markets and banking systems. Over time, this evolved into a deeper interest in how financial strategies directly impact clients, beyond just the technical side. Wealth management appealed to me as it combines my technical background with financial domain knowledge while allowing me to contribute to more client-focused, long-term financial outcomes.
I joined TFO Wealth Partners after Chris Moody came across my profile and introduced me to the firm, later connecting me with Brady, who shared a detailed overview of the organization and its vision. Throughout the process, I also connected with Kristie, who was always available to answer any questions. I had the opportunity to meet several team members and genuinely enjoyed those conversations, which gave me a strong sense of the culture and people. Combined with the chance to leverage AI in building financial solutions, it felt like a natural and exciting next step.
What excites me most about my work is the opportunity to build and shape something from the ground up while working at the intersection of technology and finance. I enjoy solving complex problems, defining systems and processes, and having the ownership to make meaningful decisions. At the same time, being in a domain like wealth management makes the work more impactful, as it directly contributes to better financial outcomes for clients, which adds a strong sense of purpose to what I do.
At Morgan Stanley, I started as a junior developer and progressed into a senior developer role, gaining hands-on experience in solving complex technical challenges and continuously improving my skill set. A meaningful part of this journey has been mentoring junior developers, helping them navigate challenges, sharing lessons learned, and supporting their growth and confidence. Contributing to both the team’s success and the development of others has been especially fulfilling.
A personal accomplishment I’m most proud of is building a new life after moving to the US after marriage. It was a great leap forward for me to leave the comforts of my home and family and build a life here. I learned to drive, got back into Fintech, and built wealth in just a couple of years, proving the American Dream exists if you persist and seize every opportunity to prove yourself.
My biggest influences have been my family and the people I’ve worked with over the years. My parents have been a constant source of support and have shaped my values around discipline, perseverance, and integrity. My brother, who is also a skilled coder, has influenced me by helping me approach challenges in a practical and grounded way. My husband has been a major influence as well—he’s been a steady source of encouragement, perspective, and support, especially when navigating important career decisions. Alongside them, colleagues I’ve worked with have also contributed to my growth through their guidance, collaboration, and approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
