Lindsay’s journey at TFO is a powerful example of what’s possible when trust, hard work, and opportunity align. Nearly two decades ago, she accepted what was intended to be a short-term, temporary role—with no financial background, clear plan, or defined path for growth. Today, she is a Partner and serves as the Director of Client Operations, leading the key operational functions of the firm.
“When I accepted the position in 2009, it was meant to be temporary work with an unknown end date,” Lindsay recalls. “But it quickly evolved into a dynamic and deeply fulfilling career—one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”
Initially, Lindsay was brought on to support a major custodial transition as TFO launched its own Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). Her role was to help compile and organize critical client and account data to ensure a smooth transfer. Her natural ability to manage complex projects and build effective systems soon became evident, earning her a full-time position and ongoing opportunities for growth.
“When I was hired, I was the operations team,” she says. “I didn’t have a roadmap handed to me with milestones to achieve – but I’ve always believed that if I stayed committed, worked hard and focused on creating value, the path would reveal itself. Every step that I’ve taken has been guided by the belief that opportunities are created – not given – and that there’s always room at the table for those who are willing to earn it.” With TFO’s growth mindset, there’s never been a shortage of opportunity.
Over the years, Lindsay has played a key role in shaping the infrastructure that supports TFO’s growing client base. Today, she still leads the Client Operations team, which includes overseeing project management initiatives, as well as guiding the Client Experience Team —ensuring that advisers receive the operational and logistical support needed to deliver exceptional service to clients.
“I’m a process person – my focus is on quality, timeliness, and efficiency—always through the lens of continuous improvement and leveraging technology,” she explains. “I still get involved in the day-to-day when needed, but my priority now is developing others—helping them develop in their roles, find their strengths, and pursue their own opportunities for growth. I’ve been fortunate enough to have incredible team members over the years. These people are both figuratively and literally, family; and watching them thrive has been priceless.”
Lindsay’s story is a testament to the culture at TFO: one that values initiative, invests in people, and creates room for talented individuals to grow into leadership. “Getting to work with this team every day, and seeing the impact we have on the families we serve, has been the most rewarding part of my journey.”
