What path led you to wealth management?

After graduating from The Ohio State University I received an opportunity with a large national investment firm. I quickly realized that I enjoyed this type of work and the daily interaction with people. That led to a career in the retirement plan industry with John Hancock, which is where I discovered how rewarding it is helping people achieve their retirement goals.

Why did you join TFO Wealth Partners?

My wife grew up in Toledo and prior to joining TFO my family and I lived in Columbus, Ohio where I worked for John Hancock Retirement Plan Services. At the time we had two children and my wife really wanted to be near her family. The opportunity with TFO came up and it seemed like a great fit.

What most excites you about your work?

On a daily basis I spend time speaking with many different people from various backgrounds and occupations. It is very rewarding to be able to help each of them with their retirement planning needs. Knowing that it doesn’t only affect them, but also their families is a great motivating factor.

What has been your most rewarding career experience?

It has been very rewarding to see the growth of our retirement plan business over the last 9 years. I find it rewarding to be able to work with so many great people and to continue to help so many great clients navigate the ever changing retirement plan world.

What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?

I am lucky enough to be married now for 15 years to my wife, Rebecca, and I am proud that we have 4 children, Tyler, Lilly, Cooper and Oliver.

What are some of your life's biggest influences?

I am influenced by my faith and my family, my parents and grandparents have also been a great influence on my work ethic.
